A DSLR has massive amounts of electronics that film cameras dont have or need. I dont think its a fair characterization to say they "share" electronics circuitry. The film camera is much more like a small subset of the the DSLRs electronics with a bunch of totally diffent stuff for film transportation. DX ,etc...
If he said they share some components or subsystems , fine but in the context of the way he wrote it he wasnt meaning that at all.... -----Original Message----- From: Adam Maas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2005 1:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: JCO is right, so ... No, it's not. The Meter, AF unit, flash circuitry and other associated circuitry is common between all the *ists except the DL (Which obviously has a different AF unit). There's extra circuitry in the DSLR's and probably different main boards, but much of the circuitry that is camera-related (As opposed to digital specific) will be common. -Adam J. C.
