I honestly don't think it would help because I think
they ALREADY KNOW what they have done and the decision
was made with full knowledge. As to whether they
offer a DSLR body with full Pentax lens support, that's
another decision but if you think about it , they could probably charge
a couple of HUNDRED dollars more AND GET IT, for only a $5 part they took
away so
maybe that's a quick windfall for them if they really
need it...To me I would pay considerably more for a camera
that had the capability than one that doesn't but of course
that DOES NOT mean I think it would cost that much to implement,
its just that the feature would add that much VALUE to the camera
to me. To some others it wouldn't be worth it so I think offering
a RANGE of DSLRS at different feature/price points makes more
sense. so far Pentax has really only had one level of DSLR body
with same basic specs and functions...WE need more choices...

Subject: Petition to Pentax? (was Re: How Pentax Could Survive)

Now that is a sane and sensible idea. Perhaps we can start such a petition
and submit it to Pentax. Imagine how impressed Pentax Corp would be to
receive an envelope from IOWA filled with suggestions from loyal Pentax
users from all over the world. I wonder what, if any, impact such a list
would have, assuming it was presented in a reasonable and organized manner.
