I just want to say that I've never heard the term "ISO Coercion"
before
but I like it!

LOL ... I'd love to take credit for it, but Pentax coined the term in
their naming of the custom setting. It's really quite ingenious and
better than an Auto ISO setting in my opinion:
Set the function on with the high limit of the range at either 1600
or 3200. Now the ISO you set with the Fn control is the low
sensitivity point and the camera will boost ISO to the limit in those
cases where its programming would otherwise make the exposure too
long (Av mode), or the lens has gone to its maximum opening (Tv
mode), or both (Program modes).
The only thing I wish they'd done was enabled the ISO warning to
operate in conjunction with the Coercion. Unfortunately, they took
the direction of figuring that the ISO warning was a reminder for
when you've set the ISO high manually. When you set Coercion in play,
I guess they figured you were specifically telling the camera to be
in control and weren't interested in a warning.
