Hi!
I'm curious as to what you're observing, however. How do they look
"digital"? What characteristics are you responding to?
That would be a tough one... I honestly don't think I can put my
impression/perception into words this time... I suppose if all the
photography I saw this far was digital and I started seeing film I would
say the same. I think I am simply very used to certain subtleties of
what b/w yields. Digital is indeed different.
My own feelings are that digital is at least as flexible as film with
regard to exposure and rendering. It is, however, a different medium
with different requirements in exposure and a wholly different
processing/rendering methodology.
I agree. I've much to learn and currently I noticed I tend to like more
b/w converted images than original color representation. Yuk, the last
sentence is more that of a programmer than of photographer...
Still, well, I hope to learn more of b/w conversion and see how it goes
from there ;-).
