Hi Don ... When testing or comparing lenses, the camera is always mounted on a strong, solid tripod or base, and I use a magnifier, such as a refconverter, to help focusing accuracy. Whenever possible I use a fast shutter speed and MLU. You might be surprised at how much difference the magnifier makes, and the other factors seem to help as well.
