Small but perfectly formed gallery. The ones that stand out for me are " Intriguing " by Jos van der Hijden I like the contrast between the water and the metalwork, the way it slices through the water and the light on it. (sorry, my sentences are crap this morning, I'm zonked from work). Yeah, it's a lovely shot and illustrates the dry theme well. Nice work Jos. " North Wales, Summer 2004 " by Steve Morphet UK Can't explain why i like this one - I shouldn't - I like to see the eyes. Umbrella-holder number one's eye is obscured by the umbrella handle - but then it reminded me of a sword or a light-sabre (that's from Star Wars, Shel) or something and then I suddenly didn't mind the eye, and then I realised that was why I liked it - because I *couldn't* see the eye. In fact i couldn't see any eyes, and then it turned from a a picture of two people into a picture of 'dry' and it worked. Umbrella-holder number 2 is beautifully out of focus and in the perfect place, it's a nice high-key pic with no background to distract, the square crop works well, I like everything about it and would be proud top hang it on a wall. Well done Steve. Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________
