I have a DS which I purchased in November of last year. When I shoot
for more than a few frames (like, concert photography) at ISO800,
there are 13 (!!) pixels of varying shades and brightnesses that are
there in every frame. You'd consider that a dud camera/lemon?

Maybe it's time to take advantage of the 1-year warranty before it's
too late, but goodness me I don't want to be without the camera over
the holidays! Who would be the person that needed to be convinced of
that being a warranty-covered defect?

I don't know if I would consider 13 a defect. 20-25+ and above. But, hell,
why listen to me? I know nothing about the D or DS. Maybe they have some
information somewhere on what their pixel failure rate is supposed to be.
(Actually,
if companies don't, it seems like a good idea for various camera companies to
have pixel failure rate statistics.)

Anyway, I know nothing. Most of the time I am perfectly happy with that.

But I do have to say post something now and then, though, just to show that I
am alive and kicking and still here. ;-) I picked this thread. Random draw,
your luck of the draw.
