Maybe it's time to take advantage of the 1-year warranty before it's too late, but goodness me I don't want to be without the camera over the holidays! But, hell, why listen to me? I know nothing about the D or DS. Maybe they have some information somewhere on what their pixel failure rate is supposed to be. (Actually, if companies don't, it seems like a good idea for various camera companies to have pixel failure rate statistics.) Anyway, I know nothing. Most of the time I am perfectly happy with that.
