Godfrey has already given you the basics. the eye is much more sensitive to off colors in the greens than in the reds. the reds might be a problem too, but i have found them less of a problem. i have never found reds to be a problem scanning Velvia. it's greens and the high dynamic range required for scanning dense slides accurately that give me the most trouble.

the real test is scanning greens. the eye is most sensitive in that color
area.
