i'm unhappy with the 24-90. on a film body, it's OK and that is all. on a
digital body, it's just not good enough. after i got the *istD, i barely use
the lens, and then i got the FA* 28-70. i think it is unlikely that i will
use it now except on a full frame body, whether film or digital. it's just
not got good enough sharpness and at the wide end has some noticeable
chromatic aberration. it's better than cheaper zooms, but that's only
relative.

Apologies. I thought you had mentioned that in the list of your lenses
which were extremely good on film, but no quite so on digital. Was it the
