On 19/8/05, Tom C, discombobulated, unleashed: >Personally, I imagined that the gray layers of the shot were >sort of like stairsteps leading up to the brighter, whiter, somewhat >ethereal part of the photo that has the appearance of a heavenly, >interstellar nebuale. The bright white circle, actually the sun, can be >whatever one wants to imagine, but since I titled the shot as I did, I was >inferring that the source of the white light was of a supernatural origin. > >There, how's that? :)
That's pretty much what I saw and thought. The ripples are the metaphorical steps. Works for me, although I sometimes think that a title can be a distraction for a photograph, as it's imposing a direction that the photographer wishes to take. Others may see something completely different (indeed as is the case). That said, the photograph is the creation of the photographer, and its reference by name is totally at the discretion of same, so I'm in two minds. There you are Frank, you always knew I was a schizo :-) Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________
