Humour does evade you somewhat, doesn't it? Maybe it's the spelling.
As to the spelling, we tried our best to rid English of unnecessary letters
but were not completely successful. Ded should be completely acceptable, as
the "a" is unnecessary. We also took a stab at eliminating the UK's national
dyslexia - center, theater, etc.
Unfortunately, Noah (should have been Noa) Webster was unable to complete
the task and was unsuccessful in gaining acceptance for his new wording of
"wimmin."
