P.S. I just sold a Canon kit lens not that long, and described it as not great glass, but a convenient focal length and light weight. But it's a known quality. People are pretty familiar with it, so it's no surprise it's not great glass. Probably everyone bidding on it knew that.
With some older lenses I unloaded a while back, not as known, I'd stick a link in the ebay page that would take them to a private page of mine showing some pictures I taken with it. So they could see for themselves how that particular lens did. HTH, Marnie aka Doe
