I've never encountered a problem paying US buyers and I rarely use Paypal. It's very easy in Oz to obtain a US$ cheque drawn on a US bank (called a bank draft) and US$ WUMO are available from all post offices. So it should be no problems paying you, a direct transfer would probably attract a deposit fee at your bank.
