Interesting statement, William. I assume all my prints are sharpened (as they are printed on a Frontier). Of course, as I have never seen an optical print, I probably don't know what I am missing.

If you shoot slide film, you can make a pretty easy comparison by making a print from a slide. Or, find a lab that can make you an optical print and compare the bokeh to one off the digital. I have found that since I started to do more digital processing, I am wanting to learn more about layer masks to see if I can get better out of focus areas.
