Brief status report because it's late, I've been traveling all day and I'm completely knackered...
We (me, Knarf, Dave Brooks and Annsan) stayed at the mountain on Sunday night to give ourselves an entire day for travel. Got on the road around 7:00 this morning. Had breakfast in Boone and then drove north. Smooth sailing until the middle of West Virginia, where we encountered violent thunderstorms. Then *massive* delay due to construction on I-70, which held us up for nearly an hour and a half (during which we moved about two miles). Dave and Frank went north and I took Annsan into Pittsburgh. We're now waiting to go downtown for her to catch a bus at midnight(!) As for what happened leading up to this return voyage, I'll have to prepare a longer missive.
