Yup, sure is. In case anybody else is still reading this thread, and is interested, the domed thing is the entrance to Greenwich Foot Tunnel. That is a tunnel built under the Thames in about 1905 so that people living in Greenwich could walk to work in the Docks on the other side of the river. The cluster of towers is Canary Wharf, where many of the docks used to be.
My next-door neighbour is a woman in her 80s who has lived on this street all her life (there are several other families who have been here since the street was laid out in 1896). Her father used that tunnel to get to work. -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: Jostein [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 31 May 2005 08:26 > To: [email protected] > Subject: PESO: BobW's extended backyard? > > > Bob, > > That reminds me of a shot I took a good while ago. > Isn't this quite close to you as well? > > http://www.oksne.net/paw/imgp1098wharf.html > > :-) > > Cheers, > Jostein
