Only if you're using the TTL metering, which assumes you are
keeping the camera in an area of constant illumination.
Otherwise all you measure is the amount of travel on the
actuating lever, which isn't particularly useful.

I really think that the prospective audience for such a
feature is vanishingly small; if you're in an environment
where you can calibrate the lens you're probably better
off using something other than the in-camera metering.

Plus, of course, there's no way for the camera to detect
that the aperture ring on the lens is set to a position
that would allow the lens to stop down to the aperture
the camera has chosen.  That's one more place for user
error to cause an incorrect exposure - something that
Pentax appear to try pretty hard to prevent.
