Vic,

I bought the Super Program/Super A new 20+ years ago and was very
pleased with the flash TTL on the camera. It was way ahead of its
time and other brands.

The TTL flash in the LX measures flash light bouncing off of the film.
The TTL flash in the Super Program measures with a sensor in the
mirror box. The effect is the same, ie. it measures the flash as
actually seen by the camera at the film.

The cheapest TTL flash for the Super Program is the AF200T (note the
T). A bit more expensive is the AF280T with bounce and tilt. The
AF400T is the top of the line and pricy if you can find one. All
three produce excellent results.

TTL flash will work just fine with your screwmount lenses. Your only
problem will be getting a K-bayonet to screwmount adapter for the
Super Program. The sensor in the mirror box controls flash duration.
There is no mechanical linkage to the type of lens used. When it has
enough light, it tells the flash to quench.

Before the Super Program, I used an ME and a Braun flash with a quench
sensor built into it. The flash exposures were hit and miss,
sometimes OK and sometimes not. With the Super Program, everything
was spot on. Use a 135mm and flash and it was all good.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Bob S.
