Yeah, lump is slang for engine round here.
What else can I tell ya. For cylinders we say 'pots'. We tend not to say
'headers', preferring simply 'manifold'. For tyres, we often say 'boots'.
And for trunk, we say 'boot'. Go figure ;-)
For hood, we say 'bonnet'. For fender, we say 'wing'.
For door, we say 'door'. <g>
