Crikey!
I smuggled a banana and a tub of beef tripe into the
US this past April. I could have been in serious
trouble!
Then again, they were all too busy taking my photo,
fingerprinting me and charging me $9 entry fee to
worry about what I had in the van :-s

You might want to register any new/expensive looking
digital gear with customs as you leave the country,
just to be on the safe side.
