It's probably not a good idea to import hot dags for human consumption. The
Aussies will explain.

When I first went to the USA the customs officer who inspected our bags, and
found no fruit or vegetables therein, said "Thankyou for supporting American
agriculture". 

It was worth leaving behind the suitcase full of carrots I usually carry,
just to hear her say that!
