Don't wait. It may be more than a year before something comes around, and then you don't know if it will be an "upgrade" to the D or another version of the Ds. Personally, I liked my D a lot and prefer the control features (two wheel operation) and handling characteristics over the Ds. Also, the vertical/battery grip was important for me. The only thing hat appeals to me with the Ds is the bigger buffer, but it really is only marginally better than the D. Bottom line, D is more pro-sumer, Ds is entry-level. Both can utilize all your Pentax glass. Christian
