step would be. (Since you're an experienced Pentax tech now.)

I do have one question though, pardon me if it's a dumb question.
(I don't know how experienced you are with cameras.)
Are you aware that the 360FGZ is NOT meant for older cameras?
It has an "Auto" mode that might work on them but this is the
only mode that might. The other modes are meant for digital
communication with the camera body.
The Vivitar 285 should work on the MX's fine though.

I'll get back to you when I've looked at my (poorly copied)
manual.
