Practice more ;-) The MLU trick works on majority of MXen. In fact, it
should work on any MX if it's up to factory specs, in my opinion and
understanding of how it works.
There's a good chance my MX isn't up to factory specs -- I bought it used.
Anyway, I don't need my MX to do MLU. I already have two bodies with the
feature actually there (without tricks) and I rarely use it. :-)
