Subject: [Norton AntiSpam] portable background (improvised backdrop?)

Hello!

I have yet another question.
What have people used as a portable background (backdrop) for
shooting in a room away from a studio.
Any improvised solutions?

If I am packing a background, it is likely going to be a muslin, since they are the most portable. Generally, if I am shooting location, I try to make the location the background.

Also, - what have worked for you, and equially importantly -
what have NOT?

Watch out for reflective backgrounds, such as windows or mirrors. If you are shooting against glass, make sure the angle is such that you don't get reflections from the flash (or yourself). Generally, I just limit depth of field to the point that the background is thrown out of focus, and watch for people walking into the picture.
