Hi all, I, instead, agree with Juan, lighter is better- Me too have a Vespa, but not that type of Vespa, the PX one, the one with manual shift, it's a pleasure... Newer auto-shift Vespas doesn't deserves their name.... (flame intended :) I know of people who believe that even the model with turn lights (is this the name of those yellow light that flashes?? (*shame*) :) are ugly...
bottom line: You may buy an old PX *AND* and old LX (the pentax one), put a tripod head on the front of your vespa, and ALAS, YOUR Vespa LX!! ;) (btw I know of a guy that had something of this kind on his vespa, he had a box in the front and on top of it there was a tripod mount so he was always ready!!, he ended to work for the national geographic, btw. entusiasm and stubborness are often the key...) ciao Danilo.
