Cool thing on the way home for lunch today.
A few unmarked official type vehicles turned the corner in front of me, forcing me to change lanes.
As I passed the middle vehicle, there was Her Royalness looking ot the window at me.
We made eye contact, I smiled and winked, she smirked a little, and the moment passed, as did I.
Good Golly though, there sure are a lot of police out there today.......
They are not always much good, though. About, well, let's say a long time ago, I was going home to my parents - about 200 miles. Black jacket, white helmet, motorcycle with ex-Police fairing. Part-way through the journey, I came across some Police barriers that were being dismantled but was waved through. As I proceeded along the road, I wondered why there were so many people on the pavements. Must have been some sort of parade. There's a car ahead. Just the one. As I get closer, it dawns on me, just as I draw level, that it has no number plates and people are waving at it. I go past, and a recognisable face peers out at me with its usual scowl.
I got off that road pretty sharpish. Think I'm possibly the only person in the world to have overtaken the Royal limousine. I would probably get shot, these days.
