so the guy in Italy who bid an hour before the
item ended - took a whole
week to write to me and claimed he was out of town
when it ended and just got back.
always our favorite excuse. grrrr.

I made one second chance offer and dropped it -
told the first bidder
(as if I bought his story about being "away") it
was still his but he
had to pay with paypal right away...

2 days of silence.

So I just relisted it. sigh.

For your amusement in how machine translations
handle what he wrote
(I have no idea what mine ended up as.)

"Hi
you have to excuse me but I/you/they have been out
house for almost a week
and I am
just reentered, if you have sold the second bidder
is already sorry I
to have made to spend you time and money, hope in
the future for being able
to conclude
another auction. Make then me know if don't have
concluded yet.

regards
xxxx "

Despite the lie, I gave him another chance but
what I WANTED to write was

"so sorry - I don't have to excuse you because
i/you/they/ not out of house
when auction it over - I see your last bid it was
one hour before auction over
so you not tell truth. Hope in future you not bid
on my auctions"

I almost asked one of you guys who are my friends
on the list and live in
Italy to write a letter for me but the guy has a
bunch of negatvie feedbacks
a couple of recent neutrals and many lukewarm
"positives".

Hard to explain to someone however, that with a
name like Sanfedele I speak
and write no Italian.

Just felt like venting. On top of that, Ebay
translates the FORM material
of a bill I send to Italian but DOESN'T translate
what I've written myself
to buyer or seller.
