version 2 is much faster, although it's not a speed demon. i thought it 
comes with the *istDS.

I haven't used Pentax Laboratory in over a year. But using PSCS, RAW 
conversions of most shots don't take very long. Once default settings have 
been established, minor tweaks can be done in seconds. Batch processing is 
also possible for groups of shots taken under the same conditions.
