I didn't buy a new camera, my SO did. I'm more than happy shooting slide film with my MZ-S and reading e-mail on my 4 yr old Windows 98 AMD Athlon computer. I'm currently receiving more digital annoyance than I can stand just watching her struggle with all this crap.

Computer upgrades, software upgrades, camera upgrades and hours and hours fiddling around and you digital people think you're saving money?

Digital photography sucks. There, I said it. Let the $#!tstorm begin.

Thank you very much to everyone for their replies. I'll forward the workaround to her then I think I'll order another sixty rolls of chrome.

<explicit dripping sarcasm mode> I take it that I may number you as among my detractors. I'm so hurt. </explicit dripping sarcasm mode>

I sure don't care whether you think digital photography sucks. What will you do when Kodak and all the other film manufacturers go out of business, though?

I have no needs to foster illusions of saving money with digital photography. My accounting records demonstrate without any ambiguity at all how much money and time I'm saving.
