Evidently, you have never been a fan of subminiature photography. There are plenty of ways to characterize near-far relationships. Defocus blur is only one.


Shooting with Minox is a very good way to learn how to use a small-sensor camera to good effect. Some Minox work from 1999 and 2000:

Deep DoF is just as appealing as shallow DoF. It all depends upon how you use it.
