Also, (analysis) a warm filter (812 in my case) compensates for the cools of the A series lenses. Images are very acceptable.
Interesting, I've never noted coolness in A lenses, maybe your pre As are all
yellowed?
I hadn't noticed that either. But you can compensate with a white balance adjustment, either in-camera for JPEG format or in post processing with RAW format, rather than adding a filter.
