Seems to be a lot of K1000 lovers. I never had a K1000; this MX seems uncluttered to me: I like it. As I said in my other post, I prefer the LEDs in the viewfinder over the match needle setup as they help me see the meter reading in the dark, when I need it. In bright light, I can estimate exposure well enough and rarely look at the meter.

Does Pentax make a plain matte fresnel focusing screen with a set of scribed horizontal/vertical reference lines for it? I'd love to add one of those and get rid of the split image/microprism focusing aid.
