Yea, me too. I thought that any photo that you put out for critique
did not count against your quota -- you could put out jillions of
images without subscribing, so long as you asked for a critique on
each. At least, that's the way I read the rules. (I am very new at
photo.net, just posted my first shot earlier this month.)
I had something odd happen, too. On my second shot, I had 11 ratings.
I looked to see who they were, out of curiosity, and noticed that
several of them had just joined that day or the day before, but had
already rated 200 or 300 photos. Huh? Then I went back a few days
later, and those IDs were gone, and I was down to 8 ratings.
To be honest, I don't pay attention to the ratings. One person's 2 may
be more enthusiastic than another's 5. I am interested in meaningful
critiques, though, because I really do want to improve my composition
skills.
