But I take issue with your comment about this showing that you can't trust Wikipedia. :-)
I followed their guidelines punctiliously, and what was stated was factual, to the best of my knowledge at the time. "Theriaultian Blur" does exist, and is known by its rightful name to perhaps a hundred or more people, and as a phenomenon to millions.
In hindsight, perhaps I should have added that the phrase is "sometimes" used ironically!
And I would of course have attributed it to Mr Alling, had I known that he was the author.
Anyway, it's now history. Time to move on, as Mr Blair would say.

I thought it was pretty funny... it does go to show that you can't trust a resource that's updatable by the public (although on subjects that I'm intimately familiar with, I've found Wikipedia to be accurate).

John, I think Frank was being nearly as facetious as I was, though I can't be sure I don't speak for Frank.

First of all, my name's not Francis, but frank (capital F is
optional). It's right there in my birth certificate. Named after my
grandfather, Francois Telesphore Theriault, whose nickname was Frank. But, my name's frank.
Second of all, it's not deliberate. It just happens. It's the Photography Gods that do it, not me.
Third of all, since I don't know what art is, I dispute that it's for "artistic effect". It just ~is~. Sort of an existential thing, I guess.
I am, however, either humbled by this, or humiliated. I haven't decided which yet.
<LOL>
cheers, frank
