I feel it would be foolish to invest yet more into SCSI peripherals like scanners. That's the old universe. A Nikon LS2000 was a decent scanner in its day, but a Konica Minolta Scan Dual II is better and more up to date.

A follow up:

The Adaptec SCSI card is $50 at PC Connection, and is not listed as compatible with any operating system more recent than NT. It would be $50 down the drain if it does not work.

The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV is listed at B&H at $240. Am I correct that this one is regarded pretty well? I haven't shopped scanners in a while.

I hate to buy a scanner when I have not shot film in 20 months. But I have a backlog of slides to scan, and have a job that I would like to be doing right now.

Thanks, everyone.
