Actually I'd like to solicit everyone's advise on using PS7 to burn in the blown out highlights like the gloves and the left portion of the face. Being a PS7 newbie I don't exactly know the steps to take.

If there's no detail data in those areas, if they're completely saturated, you can only make them darker. If the original file is RAW format, you might be able to retrieve some data if only one channel is not saturated (at least with PSCS and Camera Raw 2.4).

I'd look in used book stores for PS7 based books. It's been superceded by PSCS for almost a year now.
