The answer, of course, is to buy an SMC Pentax-DA 40mm f/2.8 Pancake lens, and a vertical grip. Those two new components will change the look of the *ist-D enough that you can trick her into believing you complied with the request of leaving your *ist-D home. If she is particularly observant, you may need a little black electrical tape to cover up the *ist-D logo.
