Joe, Some time ago I joined the Adobe User-to-User forum ( http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@@.ee6b366 ) where there are quite a number of experts hanging out and discussing the program. Every day some of the developers show up to join in the conversations. It's a good place to visit every now and then.
That said, quite a few people there are using machines with the AMD chips, and have neither more nor less problems than those running Intel chips. IOW, don't worry about it.
