Speaking of Polaroid (and this is just a parenthetical aside), I found amongst some old photos a pic of my dad made with the very first Polaroid camera. The date on the pic is, iirc, 1950 (the camera was introduced to the public in, I believe, 1948) The photo is still in pretty good condition.
