Shel Belinkoff asked:
"I was looking through the list of available film @ B&H this afternoon and was dismayed to discover that the only slow speed print film that's
available is Iford Pan F. I didn't see a sindle color print film with a
speed less than 100, and there were only a handful of slide films at those lower ratings as well. What a distressing turn of events.
Does anyone know of some slow speed color print film that's available.
Bruce not too long ago introduced me to Konica Impressa and Godfrey just
posted a couple of pics made with Agfa Ultra 50. Both of those films would have been good choices for a small project I'd like to continue with."
I hadn't realized that the slow print films disappeared because I haven't shot color print film in a while. It is indeed distressing. The manufacturers will probably tell you that the faster films today are as sharp as the slower films they used to make.
I know you already have a suggestion to use a ND filter. I guess the other option you have is to shoot ISO 100 film at the slower speed and pull process it. Color film has so much latitude that you may not see much difference if you overexpose it by a stop and process it normally.
