Hi Fred,

I wasn't too impressed with the T6-2X but it was a while back, maybe the other
one I was thinking of was a Tak?, again it was long ago and I didn't keep it.
In any case I sold off my X-S TCs after acquiring a 1.7AF TX and now only have
2 x X-L TC and the 1.7AF TC. It's not that the 1.4X-S and 2X-S were bad they
just essentially became redundant in my kit. I probably could even liberate the
X-Ls without causing myself too much heartache given the lack of action they've
seen even though I own three lenses to use them with.

The 1.7AF TC is a little beauty though, it doesn't reduce contrast
significantly, it's doesn't noticeably degrade the image quality when it's used
behind a good lens. It's got a useful mag factor and only 1.5 stops loss plus
it translates the lens aperture on the A capable bodies and of course can
magically make manual focus lenses AF :-)

The only problem that I've found with the AF1.7 TC on a manual body is that the
moving elements can end up being in a close focus position so that you can't
focus to infinity, the fix is simply to wind the AF screw fully clockwise.

Cheers,
