Wow, maybe learn to post process to produce the type of image that you desire? 
I see a lot of over sharpened over saturated Canon and Nikon images, I'm sure 
that you could replicate this using your Pentax gear. I'm only half joking 
here.

Some lenses are better than others but really output quality is most dependent 
upon shooting skill and post processing. The differences between most lenses at 
mid-range apertures can only be actually seen when the shots are made very 
carefully.
