It came with the prism with no hotshoe, but upon switching prisms with my old one, flash engagement is now a reality again. And, I have a second body (my old one) that does everything but flash.

Good news. I was to suggest trying to find a FA-2 (no hot-shoe) for your first LX. Now, you know how good-looking is the LX with the clean-cut head.
