Thanks, Bruce.  I liked the shadows (although as you can see from
the angle, this was taken in the late afternoon - it was much harsher
at mid-day).  But what I really liked was the image of the poor little
flower struggling to find somewhere to grow in a sea of concrete.

Pave paradise - put up a parking lot.
The fact that it is the state flower just adds that final touch.
