I'm a bit of a lazy so-and-so. I try and generate my event galleries with as much automation as possible so that I can start a run off at bedtime and have them ready to upload in the morning. I use BreezeBrowser to create my web galleries. I'll set it to auto-level and sharpen the images as it goes along. It also adds a watermark. I've found the canned settings to be pretty good for web display. Sometimes I'll tweak a few of the pics by hand after the fact but usually they are good enough to upload straight away. (I think so anyway)
