Leon, Thanks for the comments. The conflict between glossy ink and matte paper suggests that the Phaser 8400 might be a good solution for large B&W prints, which I usually get on glossy paper. I really enjoy working the contrast in B&W printing but I don't have a wet darkroom of my own. Maybe this printer will be a good way to 'develop' B&W prints in my digital darkroom.
