It's such a good printer that for me it was worth it.
I used to have this problem with the Epson 1270: leave it two weeks and then try to print and the heads would take five or six cleanings. The HP 7960 has yet to clog a nozzle in similar use, and the Epson 1270 (now that it runs MIS UT2 QuadTone inks) hasn't clogged in a year.
