Agreed, the VS1 is a nicer performer, but the Sigma isn't a bad lens at all. Main thing is, it's smaller, and fits in the bag. The Viv just won't fit in the bag with everything else in. I'm only using a smallish Lowepro MX500 (actually, I think it's called a "video/photo" bag - nothing large or high-zoot). I'll likely not use anything long anyway, while I'm there, this is "just in case". I could always take out the Sigma and put in the Pentax SMC 2.5 135.
