Frank;
Thanks for the welcome. You are right about where I live, I'm in Montreal. I decide to go back to an old hobby, photography, and so I've I want to get my old gear back in shape. I've been monitoring the list for a few weeks.
Regards;
Marcel

I opened up my MX winder hoping it would open up the battery compartment and let me clean out the "foam" gunk that was in there and in doing so the red wire that goes from the battery terminal to the small pcboard inside the winder disconnected itself from the pcboard before I could notice where it had been soldered on. I assume it was soldered on to the pcboard.
So now I'm trying to figure out where to solder it back on and I can't spot any obvious locations. I was wondering if anyone can provide some guidance for this.

Can't help.
But I'm guessing from your e-mail address and your name that you live in Quebec? I'm born and bred there. Okay, just born there (I never got no breeding <g>).
Haven't noticed you on list before, so just wanted to say "hi" and welcome aboard. Hopefully someone will be able to help with your winder question. I actually have one, but have never opened it and am not mechanically inclined, so I'd be afraid to open mine up, lest I mess up the whole thing.
Anyway, nice to see you here; hope you stick around for a while.
cheers, frank theriault (despite the last name, I speak very little French) Toronto
